Sabinas Hidalgo

Sabinas Hidalgo is a municipality located in the northern Mexican state of Nuevo Leon, which borders the north with Lampazos de Naranjo, on the east Agualeguas and Vallecillo, the south and southwest Salinas Victoria, and west with Villaldama.

Most of the municipal area is on the physiographic province of the Sierra Madre Oriental, and only the north of the Sabinas River, east of the county seat, is set on the province of the Gulf Coastal Plain.

According to the National Counting of Population and Housing 2005, 32.040 people live in Sabinas Hidalgo, 30.998 of them reside in the county seat, the City of Sabinas Hidalgo, and the rest, 1.042, in the different communities.
