Sabinas Hidalgo fauna is typical from arid and semi-arid regions from northeastern Mexico. Some of the species commonly seen on the fields are:
Wild species
- Coyote (Canis latrans)
- Ornate wood turtle (Rhinoclemmys pulcherrima)
- Texas tortoise (Gopherus berlandieri)
- Turkey vulture (Cathartes aura)
- Bobcat (Linx rufus)
- Western diamondback rattlesnake or Texas diamond-back (Crotalus atrox)
- Great radrunner (Geococcyx californianus)
- Texas horned lizard (Phrynosoma cornutum)
- Virginia opossum (Didelphis virginiana)
- Armadillo (Asypus novemcinctus)
- Black-tailed jackrabbit (Lepus californicus)
- Rabbit (Sylvilagus floridanus)
- Allen's squirrell (Sciurus alleni)
- Mexican ground squirrell (Spermophilus mexicanus)
- Raccoon (Procyon lotor)
- Puma (Felis concolor)
- Collared peccary (Dicotyles tajacu)
- White-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus)
