Church of San José

The Church of San Jose is a beautiful historical monument, is constructed of limestone ashlar, with walls of nearly 1.50 meters wide. The construction of this temple began on October 1 of 1709 and completed by 1757, and that the altarpiece dates from this time of prosperity, when operating the mines.
This altarpiece Churrigueresque Plateresque is coated with gold of 23 carats. It is the one of the few in northern Mexico, so it is important to nurture and preserve this cultural heritage as part of the history of our city.
